"Sorta effortless to get around"
It was really easy to use and straightforward. I didn’t run into any hassle, which made the whole experience sorta smooth and stress-free.

"Good plugins, just wish updates were quicker"
I do like Devious Machines overall, and the plugins have worked well for me most of the time. It’s just that updates feel a bit slow, and when I’m waiting on a fix or even a small improvement, it can feel like it takes ages... Not a bad site or anything, I just wish it seemed a little more active. 3 stars from me.

"I’ve used a bunch of different plugins over..."
I’ve used a bunch of different plugins over the years, and these sound cleaner than most. The audio feels wide and polished without getting harsh or cheap-sounding. Compared to some others I’ve tried, they just sit better in the mix and feel more natural to use
"It’s usable most of the time..."
It’s usable most of the time, but it does crash here and there. Makes me wonder what’s going on behind the scenes, because it feels a little unreliable. Stability definitely needs some work.
"Docs are alright, I guess"
The docs are okay overall, but they could be a bit clearer in a few spots. I got through them, but I had to reread some parts more than I expected

"Install was more confusing than it should’ve been"
I did get it working eventually, but the install was confusing. I had to try a few times, backtrack, and figure out what I missed. It wasn’t impossible, just annoying, and the setup was more confusing than it needed to be.

"I’ve been using Devious Machines plugins in..."
I’ve been using Devious Machines plugins in Ableton, and I also tested them out in Logic on my laptop. So far, no random crashes or annoying setup issues, they installed, showed up where they were supposed to, and just worked. that’s all I was hoping for. It’s always nice when plugins don’t make you spend an entire evening “troubleshooting” instead of making music.

"So many ways to tweak the sound"
I’ve been using these effects on pretty much everything lately, and they’re super, super flexible. It’s really easy to dial in different sounds and just keep tweaking until it feels right.

"Fun sound tools that don’t make me work too hard"
I’ve been using Devious Machines plugins for sound design, they’re just really fun. Texture and Infiltrator are great when I want weird movement, extra layers, or something a bit unexpected without spending half the night setting up routing and fiddling with menus. I’m burned out on tools that feel like another service to manage or another thing demanding attention, so I appreciate that these just let me get in and make sounds quickly. You can keep things subtle or completely wreck a sound if you want, and the UI is clear enough that I didn’t have to overthink it. Easy 5 stars from me.
"License issue got sorted fast"
I had a little trouble getting my license to show up after I bought it, which was kind of ridiculous, but support replied quickly and fixed it without making a big deal out of it. Super easy in the end, so no complaints from me

"I’ve been using it live latency..."
I’ve been using it live latency is really low for me. There’s barely any lag, so it feels smooth in real use. For the live setup, it’s been working great without a issue

"Fast fix and really helpful support"
Had a small bug pop up after an update, so I sent it over to them. They got back to me quickly and had a fix out way sooner than I expected. Super simple, no hassle at all. Really happy with how they handled it.

I’ve been using it on some big projects, and it still runs super light without making my CPU struggle. it’s been really smooth so far

"I’ve been using Devious Machines for..."
I’ve been using Devious Machines for a bit now, and the automation control is just easy to deal with. It kind of does what I expect, so I’m not sitting there fighting with this or that setting the whole time.
It’s a small thing, but the curves and movement feel really smooth, which makes tweaking stuff in a track quick. Overall, I’m really happy with how it works...
"A Few Days In and I’m Already Tempted"
I only meant to try the plugins for a couple of days, but suddenly I was deep in Ableton, acting like I’d uncovered some secret weapon. Everything ran super smooth, no drama on the technical side, and the sounds were way better than I expected. I’m not saying I’m definitely buying them... but it’s starting to feel inevitable.

"Presets actually sound good"
I’m usually skeptical of all the shiny marketing talk companies use, but these presets are really good. I tried them expecting the usual overhyped stuff, and they actually sounded great right away.

"Flexible modulation that actually feels easy"
The modulation options are probably the biggest reason I keep coming back to their plugins. They’re quick to set up, but if you want to dig in, there’s a lot of depth there too. To be fair, you can still overdo it if you start stacking things, but that’s more on the user than the plugin. For me, it’s great for taking a plain sound and giving it movement fast without getting stuck tweaking forever. Really happy with it overall.

"Great plugins, one little issue I had"
I use Infiltrator and Texture quite a lot, and they sound really good. The site was easy enough to use, though the downloads and account area, a bit clearer I wish it was. Had one small hiccup, but support replied, so in the end all good.

"I usually stick with another plugin brand..."
I usually stick with another plugin brand I’ve been using for years, so I wasn’t expecting to spend much time on Devious Machines. But the site made a good impression. The interface is clean, not too busy, and I could find the plugins, details, checkout, and downloads without feeling like I had to hunt around. The colors and layout are easy on the eyes too. A couple pages loaded a little slow for me, which was a bit annoying, but overall it was a smooth experience and definitely made me more open to checking them out again.
